Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated School Age Group Leader to inspire and supervise children in our after-school and summer programs. This role is vital in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. As a School Age Group Leader, you will lead activities, promote positive behavior, and support children’s development while fostering a fun and inclusive atmosphere. Your enthusiasm and leadership will help shape memorable experiences for every child in your care. This position can be temporary for the summer, or extend into year-round duties. Perfect for college students!
Duties
- Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction for school-aged children.
- Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum elements that align with early childhood education standards.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, and incident reports as needed.
- Provide first aid or emergency assistance promptly when necessary, following established protocols.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare is highly preferred.
- Must posses a valid driver’s license and be willing to obtain the "For Hire" endorsement to drive on field trips.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.

Pay: $13.00 – $15.00 per hour
