Route Service Representative – Secure Shredding Jobs in Westfield, MA at Valley Green Shredding
Route Driver / Shredding Technician (Non CDL) Security Sensitive Attendance Critical
- Pay $24 per hour plus performance bonus incentives
- Sign-on bonus of $1,500 (paid-out over 12 months)
- Job Type Full-time Monday – Friday
- Dispatch 8:00 AM from our Westfield MA office daily briefing and safety checks
- Typical return 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM, some days up to about 6:00 PM depending on route
- Service area Western Massachusetts plus rotating required coverage of Boston Metro shared weekly
- Occasional partial Saturday mornings seasonal community shred events
Read this first this role is not for everyone
This is a security sensitive mission driven route position. We protect client confidential information on site using a shredding truck. That means
- Attendance is mandatory. If you have a pattern of text-outs, last minute schedule changes, job hopping, or treating work as secondary this will not be a fit
- Routes vary daily and Boston Metro coverage is required as part of the rotation
- Vehicle activity is monitored by GPS and service activity is tracked on a company app
- Communication with the office and the team is constant to support you and to ensure accountability
What you will do
- Drive a non CDL shredding truck on established routes including Western MA and the Boston Metro rotation
- Complete daily vehicle checks safety checks and morning briefings before dispatch
- Provide on site secure shredding at businesses municipalities schools medical organizations and financial institutions
- Move locked security containers and bins load and unload materials safely and maintain clean work practices
- Use a company tablet to confirm stops record service activity and communicate with the office and team
- Represent the company professionally you are the face of our service

Reliability and schedule
- Full time availability Monday through Friday
- On time dispatch at 8:00 AM from Westfield, MA after briefing and safety checks
- Willingness to work variable end times based on the route most days return 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM sometimes closer to 6:00 PM
- Willingness to cover Boston Metro routes as part of the weekly rotation
- Ability to provide verifiable reliability and attendance history. References will be asked about attendance
Driving and safety
- Valid Class D driver’s license non-CDL
- Two plus years of recent experience driving a 24 to 26 foot box truck or similar commercial vehicle
- Clean driving history and ability to pass an MVR check
- Comfort driving in city traffic, tight sites, and Boston area conditions
Physical ability
- Lift 50 pounds repeatedly
- Push or pull wheeled containers up to 300 pounds
- Frequent walking loading and unloading and working outdoors year round
- Stepping up and down from a commercial truck and stair locations
Security screening and substance policy safety sensitive role
- Employment is contingent on criminal background screening consistent with Massachusetts law NAID AAA certification expectations and customer security requirements
- Drug testing required pre employment and random. This is a safety sensitive position
- THC/CBD is included in testing and a positive test may disqualify you
- If you have a medical marijuana card you may request an accommodation review. Safety requirements may limit options
- No tobacco or vaping use during work hours, in company vehicles, or on customer sites
Uniform and conduct non-negotiable
- Uniforms are issued and must be worn exactly as instructed. No alterations additions modifications or omissions
- Hair below shoulder length must be secured for safety around moving machinery and to comply with uniform policy
- No earbuds or Bluetooth hearing devices outside the cab for safety and proper client engagement
Paid lunch and daily structure
- Lunch is paid and you are expected to manage your lunch and any other breaks appropriately during the day
120 day probationary period benefits activation
- This position includes a 120 day probationary period
- Eligibility for paid time off retirement plan participation and paid holidays begins after successful completion of the 120 day probationary period
