Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Route Driver to join our team in Jessup, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely delivering goods to various locations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to meet the needs of our clients and support our company’s operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck or similar commercial vehicle along designated routes in Milton, PA.
- Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Deliver products to customers while maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism.
- Manage route schedules efficiently to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
- Assist with warehouse tasks including loading, unloading, and organizing inventory as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status or issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during route driving.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or route driver, preferably with commercial driving experience involving box trucks or similar vehicles.
- Must be 21+ years old.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving of cargo safely.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively.
- Physical stamina for long periods of driving, loading/unloading cargo, and moving items as needed.
