Role Description
We are seeking a skilled Roller Operator for a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Indianapolis. The Roller Operator will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to compact asphalt surfaces during roadway and construction projects. Primary duties include inspecting equipment, ensuring proper compaction of materials, following safety guidelines, collaborating with team members, and maintaining accurate records of work performed.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating asphalt rollers and other heavy equipment
- Familiarity with construction equipment maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting
- Knowledge of asphalt paving processes and compaction techniques
- Strong understanding of workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols
- Good communication and team collaboration skills
- Ability to follow instructions and specifications accurately
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in asphalt paving or construction is preferred
