Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Roll-Off Driver to join our team. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty trucks equipped with hydraulic tilt/hoist mechanisms to transport, drop off, and pick up open-top waste containers (dumpsters) from commercial, industrial, and construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Safely: Safely navigate and operate a heavy-duty roll-off truck in compliance with all DOT, state, and local regulations.
- Maneuver Containers: Pick up, transport, and drop off tilt-frame containers at various customer locations, often navigating tight spaces or active construction zones.
- Secure Loads: Properly tarp and secure all loads before transport to prevent debris from escaping.
- Customer Service: Act as the face of our company by maintaining a professional and courteous attitude with clients on-site.
- Maintenance & Inspections: Perform daily Pre- and Post-Trip inspections (DVIR); report any mechanical or safety issues immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate digital or paper logs of daily routes, pickups, and disposal drop-offs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- License: Valid Driver’s License
- Experience: Minimum of [1-2] years of commercial driving experience (Roll-Off, Tilt-Frame, or Hook-Lift experience is highly preferred).
- Clean Record: A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and the ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.
- Physical Ability: Able to climb in and out of the truck cab frequently, pull heavy tarps, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Skills: Strong spatial awareness for backing into tight spots and basic tech-savviness for using routing/logging apps.
