Roll-Off Driver Jobs in Dartmouth, Canada at Municipal Group of Companies
Halifax C&D Recycling, part of the Municipal Group of Companies, is currently seeking a bright, individual for the permanent, full-time position as a Roll-Off Driver to join our operations based out of Dartmouth, NS.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for daily pre and post trip inspections
Perform driver check-ins at day’s end to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion
Ensure that all protocols are followed while dumping loads at municipal recycling/waste facilities
Required to climb up ladder on truck to tarp loads
Required to be able to lift the Roll-Off hook and attach it to the bin, requires bending and ability to lift 25-50 pounds
Perform other duties as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and
Experience:
1-2 years class 3 driving experience
Must possess minimum Class 3 Drivers license with air brake endorsement
Experience driving manual transmission
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong customer focus
Proven ability to multi-task & ability to prioritize tasks
Knowledge of industry considered an asset
Willingness to pick up shifts and work additional hours as required
Clean drivers abstract
