Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and safety-conscious Roll Off Driver to join our team. In this vital role, you will operate roll-off trucks to transport and dispose of waste materials efficiently. Your expertise in truck driving, route management, and load handling will ensure smooth operations while adhering to safety standards.
Duties
- Safely operate roll-off trucks to pick up and deliver waste containers across designated routes
- Load and unload waste materials from containers using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods
- Inspect trucks regularly to ensure they are in excellent working condition and report any maintenance needs
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during route driving
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, and route activities for reporting purposes
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate schedules and resolve issues promptly
- Assist with securing loads and ensuring proper placement of containers at customer sites
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating roll-off trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles such as dump trucks or tractor-trailers
- Knowledge of manual transmission operation is preferred
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or manual techniques
- Familiarity with route driving, freight handling, and vehicle inspection procedures
- Prior delivery driver experience in a commercial setting is highly desirable
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads, climb onto trucks, and perform routine vehicle inspections
