Job Overview
Mothe Funeral Homes is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and professional Removal Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for responding to first calls during daytime and nighttime hours and transporting deceased individuals from residences, hospitals, nursing facilities, hospices, coroners’ offices, and other locations to our funeral home with the highest level of dignity, respect, and professionalism.
This role is ideal for someone who is calm under pressure, self-motivated, and understands the importance of treating every family with compassion during one of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Duties
- Respond promptly to first calls.
- Safely and respectfully transfer deceased individuals into our care.
- Operate company removal vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
- Complete all required documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with funeral directors and on-call staff regarding each removal.
- Follow all infection control, OSHA, and company safety procedures.
- Ensure removal equipment and vehicles remain clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Maintain complete confidentiality regarding families and cases.
- Represent Mothe Funeral Homes with professionalism and compassion at all times.
- Assist with lifting tasks using proper techniques and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency during removals
- Professional appearance and excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a driver
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;
- Ability to perform lifting safely and efficiently in various environments
- Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with clients and team members
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure safety standards are met
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently.
- Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
