Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across dedicated routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering strictly to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with automatic transmission across designated routes, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- No – Touch Freight
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments to optimize delivery schedules.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load securement devices.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered during routes.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; 1 year minimum experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on logistics cargo handling and route driving.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers – we provide training with reefers if needed.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations related to hours of service and safety standards
- Experience using GPS navigation systems for route planning and navigation accuracy.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations governing commercial trucking operations.
