The Project Lead – Industrial Projects is responsible for the coordination and execution of end-to-end project logistics operations, including managing multi-modal shipments, aligning internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring delivery against strict timelines, safety standards, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination of project cargo shipments from origin to final delivery, including multi-leg and oversized freight
- Partner closely with Project Managers to execute live shipments and maintain operational control across all phases
- Act as the central coordination point between DHL teams, carriers, brokers, and service providers locally and globally
- Drive clear, proactive communication across all stakeholders to ensure alignment and mitigate operational risks
- Support detailed logistics planning, including routing, scheduling, and execution strategies at the ground level
- Ensure full compliance with HSE standards, customs regulations, and internal operating procedures (SOP/SAP)
- Monitor and report on operational KPIs, identifying inefficiencies and contributing to continuous improvement
- Provide hands‑on operational support during peak activity periods or critical project phases
- Collaborate across functions and geographies to deliver consistent, high-quality project execution
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience within freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain (project exposure is an asset)
- Strong execution mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Clear and confident communicator, capable of coordinating across diverse stakeholders
- Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and operational excellence
- Self‑motivated, resilient, and eager to take ownership in a high‑performance setting
- Demonstrated interest in building a long‑term career within industrial project logistics
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a can‑do attitude
Compensation
Salary Range: CAD $86,000 – $115,000 base salary + Bonus + full benefits.
3–5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain. Project cargo exposure is an asset. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills required.
