Position: Portables Driver – Full Time
Drive with GFL Environmental as a Portables Driver in Duncan, British Columbia. This full-time role involves safely operating a pumper truck and servicing portable units and wash stations.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering, picking up, and cleaning portable sanitation units while ensuring timely route completion. Your daily duties will include pre and post-trip inspections, driver check-ins, and following safety protocols for waste disposal. You’ll also be involved in general yard clean-up and assisting with temporary fencing installations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform daily pre and post-trip inspections
• Complete driver check-ins with accurate paperwork
• Navigate assigned routes efficiently and safely
• Manage waste disposal protocols at facilities
• Engage in yard maintenance and temporary fencing setup
Requirements:
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License; air brake endorsement is a plus
• Physically fit for lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service orientation
• Familiarity with local area navigations
