Position: 92F Petroleum Supply Specialist
Fuel is one of the most vital components of the Army National Guard. It keeps Soldiers pushing onward, and as a Petroleum Supply Specialist you will ensure the proper handling, storage, and shipment of petroleum-based products such as oil, fuel, and compressed gas.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the reception, storage, and shipping of bulk or packaged petroleum products, including operating specialized pumping equipment to load trucks, ships, trains, and aircraft.
- Select and submit samples of petroleum for testing; perform petroleum and water accounting activities; test petroleum samples for contamination; repair specialized equipment; maintain knowledge of safety procedures and storage guidelines.
- As you progress, take on management duties: supervise and train other Soldiers, assign duties, spot check work quality, and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
- Receive and stock bulk and packaged products; issue and dispense bulk fuels and water from storage and distribution facilities to using units.
Training
After basic training you will attend advanced individual training (AIT) which includes hands‑on and classroom instruction.
Qualifications
- Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
- At least a junior in high school, or high school diploma or GED.
- Pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
