Duties
- You will be using your own car. Gas and per delivery charges will be added to you Gas chargers.
- Load and unload food and catering supplies, ensuring items are handled with care and proper lifting techniques.
- Verify delivery orders against packing lists and customer requests to ensure accuracy.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service upon delivery, answering questions and ensuring satisfaction.
- Follow route schedules efficiently, adjusting as needed to meet delivery deadlines.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, conducting routine inspections before and after shifts.
- Complete delivery logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks or similar is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely using equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks if necessary.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and heavy-duty driving skills.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to load & unload operations, route planning, and vehicle maintenance.
- Prior warehouse experience is a plus, demonstrating comfort with handling inventory and equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks.
