Job Title: PACE Program Transportation Driver (Full-Time & Part-Time positions)
Pay: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time / Part-Time positions available (Monday–Friday, occasional weekends as needed)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Transportation Driver to join our PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) team. This role is responsible for safely transporting participants to and from the PACE center, medical appointments, and other approved locations, while ensuring a comfortable and respectful experience for all passengers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport participants according to assigned schedules and routes
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including those with mobility challenges or assistive devices
- Ensure all passengers are secured properly (wheelchairs, seat belts, etc.)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle; perform routine inspections and report maintenance needs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and PACE staff regarding schedule changes or participant concerns
- Provide excellent customer service with a focus on dignity, patience, and respect
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience driving vans or transporting passengers preferred
- Ability to assist elderly or disabled individuals with mobility needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and driving record check
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, and secure wheelchairs (up to 50 lbs)
- Prolonged periods of sitting, driving, and assisting passengers
