Responsibilities
- Comply with DOT and safety regulations
- Maintain equipment in safe operating condition
- Submit required paperwork and trip updates promptly
- Manage your own freight loads, including load & unload responsibilities when necessary
- Handle route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while maintaining compliance with all regulations
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring cargo safety and security during transit
- Maintain communication with dispatch for route updates and delivery confirmations
Requirements
- Must be willing to go OTR
- Must have a valid DOT Medical Card
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the equipment operated
- Proven experience in truck driving, including tractor-trailer operations and route driving
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently
- Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized equipment such as forklift operation is a plus
- Delivery driver experience preferred, especially involving freight handling and load management
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to freight transportation and vehicle maintenance
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as load & unload operations and handling freight equipment like forklifts or dump trucks if required
