Drivers in SAP program are encouraged to apply, if you have a clean driving record. We require a minimum of 2 years of CDL A experience. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, adherence to safety regulations, and excellent time management skills. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service. Our value proposition is we get drivers home locally to get in their reset. This is a 1099 contract position.
Duties
- Operate dry van truck/trailer, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Execute route driving efficiently to deliver freight to designated locations on time.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours (in Motive), routes traveled, and cargo delivered.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Load and unload cargo as necessary (90% +is no touch freight).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Use technology to photograph and email trucking documents.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL-A) for a minimum of 2 years.
- Familiarity with Motive ELD is a plus.
- Experience in route driving and delivery driving is essential.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience utilizing trucker tools, email, and communication devices.
- No tickets or accidents in the last 3 years.
