Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! In this vital role, you will operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Your expertise in driving and load management will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions across designated routes, ensuring on-time deliveries and pickups
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, adhering to safety protocols
- Drive various truck types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks based on daily assignments
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition and compliance with safety regulations
- Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths and adjusting for traffic or weather conditions
- Secure freight properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit and ensure proper documentation for all shipments
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and experience operating tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty vehicles
- Proficiency in driving manual transmission trucks and handling various truck configurations such as flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks
- Prior delivery driver experience with a focus on freight handling, load & unload procedures, and route driving
- Ability to operate forklifts safely when required for loading or unloading cargo
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight transportation
- Strong physical stamina to load/unload freight manually or with equipment; capable of lifting heavy items as needed
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers
