Truck Driver Job Description
Duties:
– Operate a roll-off truck, dump truck, or other heavy equipment for transportation and delivery purposes.
– Safely and efficiently navigate assigned routes to deliver materials or goods to designated locations.
– Ensure that all cargo is properly secured and protected during transportation.
– Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
– Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle.
– Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays.
– Communicate with dispatchers or supervisors to report any issues or delays during transportation.
– Follow safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
Requirements:
– Valid CDL driver’s license with a clean driving record.
– Minimum 1 year previous experience as a truck driver or in a similar role preferred.
-Willing to work as teams (2 drivers). Willing to be OTR for extended period of time.
– Excellent time management and organizational skills.
– Strong communication skills to interact with dispatchers, supervisors, and clients effectively.
– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
– Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and protocols.
