A Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled on-the-road truck driver for interstate routing. The ideal candidate will have experience and be proficient in operating a Company Straight Truck. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for picking up freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive assigned trucks to pick up goods from designated locations.
- Ensure the safe loading of freight and secure cargo as necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries as required by regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding pickup schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Manage routes efficiently to optimize delivery times while ensuring safety.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License, preferably CDL-B with a clean driving record.
- Clean driving record for at least 5 years.
- We need proven experience in truck driving, particularly interstate driving with a company truck.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and clients.
