One morning you’re at a county facility picking up a pallet of old desktops. By afternoon, you’re backing into a corporate loading dock to clear out a server room. Every stop is different, every client matters, and every run keeps electronics out of landfills.
At City eWaste, we’re not just recycling old electronics — we’re building America’s first eWaste franchise from the ground up. What started as a backyard urban mining hobby in Franklin, TN is now a fast-growing national brand, and we’re opening a brand-new franchise location in Texas.
About the Role
We’re hiring a Field Operations Driver to own our inbound logistics — running pickups from businesses, municipalities, and county facilities across the greater Houston area. You’ll be the person clients see at the door, and the one who keeps our warehouse full and our pipeline flowing.
On non-pickup days, you’ll plug in with the sorting and materials team. No two days look exactly the same, and that’s the point.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Plan and optimize your daily pickup routes for efficiency
- Safely operate 10 ft and 24 ft box trucks on local routes throughout the greater Houston area (no CDL required)
- Load and unload pallets using lift gates and pallet jacks; secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage
- Enter offices, warehouses, and municipal facilities to complete pickups professionally
- Represent City eWaste on-site — you’re often the only face clients see
- Follow pickup schedules, routing instructions, and safety procedures
- Keep trucks clean, organized, and report maintenance issues promptly
- Assist the sorting and materials team on non-pickup days
What You Bring to the Table
- Outstanding driving record with verifiable history
- Valid driver’s license (no CDL required)
- Comfortable driving a 24 ft box truck in tight spaces, loading docks, and urban environments
- Experience with pallet jacks and lift gates
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
- Friendly, professional, and client-ready demeanor — you take pride in how you show up
- Reliable, punctual, and fully capable of working independently
- Smartphone proficiency for navigation and fleet management tools
- Bonus: Experience in logistics, delivery, or warehouse environments
- Bigger bonus: Forklift certification, familiarity with the Houston/Katy area, or experience working with municipal or government clients
