About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager and based at our Bayswater depot, the Operations Assistant will play a key role in maintaining and preparing our fleet of offshore subsea baskets, cargo containers, reefer units, workshops, and specialised equipment.

This is a hands‑on, practical role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and wants to grow with a business that values initiative and reliability.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily yard operations
  • Conduct stage‑in and stage‑out safety checks of equipment
  • Clean, inspect, and prepare offshore equipment for hire
  • Prepare and carry out maintenance painting
  • Perform basic repairs
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas
  • Load and unload heavy equipment using forklifts
  • Report on equipment condition and status

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Experience with fleet or asset coordination
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools
  • Basic welding skills (advantageous)
  • Understanding of preventative maintenance
  • Ability to prepare and apply paint to equipment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Physically fit and capable of manual work
  • Adaptable, flexible, and a positive “can‑do” attitude

Tickets & Qualifications

  • Current driver’s licence (required)
  • Forklift licence (required)
  • Work Safely at Heights (advantageous)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (advantageous)
