Overview
We are seeking energetic and dependable CDL A regional drivers to join our team immediately! This open board position offers the opportunity to start next week, with the benefit of being home weekly. If you thrive on route driving, delivering freight efficiently, and maintaining safety standards, this role is perfect for you. Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers with automatic transmissions across regional routes, ensuring timely deliveries
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary
- Drive various types of freight including refrigerated trailers
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during route driving and delivery processes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness for each trip
- Route planning to optimize delivery schedules while adhering to hours-of-service regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding load status, delays, or issues encountered on routes
Experience
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers and commercial vehicles
- Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and various trailer types such as refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, or dump trucks
- Delivery driver experience preferred, including load & unload operations and route driving skills
- Ability to operate forklifts or other loading equipment is a plus
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to freight transport and vehicle maintenance
