Responsibilities
- Safely operate a non-CDL 26-foot box truck along designated local routes to deliver products efficiently to commercial or residential customers
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, ensuring all items are handled carefully and securely
- Verify delivery orders against shipment manifests, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service and addressing any questions or concerns
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Use schematics, electrical diagrams, or mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment or appliances during field service visits
- Assist in assembly or installation of delivered equipment when necessary, including refrigeration units or HVAC components
Skills
- Proven delivery driver experience with a strong focus on customer service excellence
- Mechanical knowledge including appliance repair, equipment repair, and electrical experience to handle minor troubleshooting on-site
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams related to refrigeration, HVAC systems, or electrical components
- Familiarity with box trucks and field service operations involving appliance or equipment installation and repair
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Basic understanding of refrigeration systems, HVAC principles, and electrical wiring is preferred
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, work independently, and maintain a positive attitude throughout the workday
