Regional CDL-A Truck Driver – New Graduates Welcomed – Valdosta, GA
Looking for a company willing to give new drivers an opportunity? MJP is hiring CDL-A solo drivers based out of Valdosta, GA and welcomes recent CDL graduates. No prior experience is required. We provide paid training, hands-on instruction, and ongoing support to help drivers gain valuable experience and build confidence behind the wheel.
Pay & Compensation
- Weekly pay: $1,300–$1,800/week
- Annual equivalent: $68,000–$94,000/year
- CPM Rate: 55¢–65¢ (increases by 1 CPM each year for up to 10 years)
- Miles: ~ 2,000 – 2,500 per week
Home Time
- Home once a week
Orientation
- One-day paid orientation covering safety procedures, equipment walkthrough, drug screening, and skills assessment for new drivers
- Orientation pay: $300 paid with your first paycheck
- Transportation and accommodation covered during orientation
Freight & Routes
Drivers haul 100% no-touch general freight on Southeast regional routes. The account offers established freight lanes, consistent load availability, and dependable miles while allowing drivers to focus on driving without loading or unloading responsibilities.
Equipment
- 2022 or newer Freightliner Cascadia
- Drivers will get an assigned truck
- All trucks are equipped with automatic transmission

Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license required
- No prior experience needed
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must reside within 150 miles of Valdosta, GA
- Basic load securement awareness required
- No major violations in the last 12 months
- MVR checked for last 3 years
- Background check for last 10 years
- Must pass hair & urine drug test
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate ELD logs and delivery paperwork
- Deliver freight safely and on time
- Operate automatic tractor with 48’–53’ trailer
- Follow all DOT and FMCSA regulations
