Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical appointments, dialysis treatments, and other healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a commitment to safety, and a caring attitude towards our passengers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, and other destinations.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking from the vehicle, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Operate wheelchair lifts and securement devices for passengers with mobility challenges.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and follow assigned routes.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all passengers.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in NEMT, patient transportation, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to operate wheelchair-accessible vehicles and equipment.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Compassionate and patient, with the ability to work with elderly or disabled individuals.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and other required screenings.
