Duties
- Safely load and unload items using appropriate lifting techniques, including heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Pack belongings securely using boxes, padding, and other materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move large or heavy items efficiently.
- Assist with route driving in box trucks or courier vehicles, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of goods.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly secured for transport.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, preparing items for packing or shipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients during pickups and deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience or moving background preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Experience with commercial driving, including box trucks or <PERSON> driver roles, is highly valued.
- Familiarity with delivery driver responsibilities such as route planning and load management.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, manual transmissions, or similar equipment safely.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and moving tasks throughout the workday.
- Customer service skills to interact positively with clients during pickups or deliveries.
