Position: Maritime Captain for Navigation and Crew Safety Leadership
Location: belle river
Lead as a Captain with a focus on ship safety and crew development. Ensure excellence in navigation and maritime protocols while upholding safety standards onboard.
As an Exempt Captain, you will take charge of the navigation and safe mooring of our vessels. Your primary responsibility will be to implement company safety policies, inspire crew adherence, and foster ongoing professional development. Regular safety meetings and proactive hazard reporting are also key aspects of your role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely navigate vessels for smooth operations
• Drive implementation of the Safety Policy
• Conduct monthly safety audits and meetings
• Ensure compliance with all operational protocols
• Review and report safety deficiencies as they arise
Requirements:
• Must hold a Master, Near Coastal Certificate
• Seafarers Medical and Radio Operator Certificates required
• STCW proficiency in safety and survival skills
• Effective communication and leadership capabilities
• Company-provided training in relevant safety areas
