Lumberyard Associate / CDL Delivery Driver Jobs in Merritt, MI at Arrow Homes
Since 1970, Arrow Homes is proud to serve professional contractors and Home Owners throughout the area. We are a family owned and operated business looking to fill a truck driver / yard associate position. This position will provide customers with outstanding service.
Applicants must
- Be willing to come to work when scheduled and work while you are on the job
- Not have any felonies
- Have a DOT – A driver’s license
- Have knowledge and experience to drive a truck/trailer with crane
- Have reliable transportation in order to get to work
- Must have good driving record
- Be able to pass a drug test

Job requirements:
- Treat people in a friendly and professional manner
- Gather materials per load tickets and bunk for delivery
- Load materials onto truck and trailers for safe delivery
- Review load ticket and materials to verify the correct items are have been selected
- Safely operate and maintain equipment necessary for completing tasks (truck, trailers, forklift, saws, banding, etc.)
- Unload and stock lumber
- Make delivers to construction site and safely unload material
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard free working area
- Participate in inventory counts
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently lift and load up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Ability to frequently bend, reach, climb, and stoop
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Qualifications:
- Have a CDL-a Drivers License
- Have basic lumber material knowledge
- Ability to read and use a measuring tape
- Basic customer service skills
- Basic computer skills – excel

Typical schedule is 7-3:30, Monday to Friday. May be required to come in earlier or later to accommodate delivery schedule. The deliveries will be, typically, to Western Northern Lower Michigan.
