Become an LPG Railcar Operator for Alta Gas at the Ridley Island Propane Export Terminal in Prince Rupert.
Your role will manage rail offloading processes and ensure safety standards.
In this Operator Tech 4 position, you will work under the direction of the Lead Operator, handling the safe offloading of liquid propane from railcars. Engage actively in safety initiatives, perform inspections, and document operating conditions.
Your role also includes supporting emergency response efforts, enhancing both personal and team safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee LPG railcar offloading processes daily
• Conduct inspections to maintain safety protocols
• Manage unloading procedures and related documentation
• Participate in the Emergency Response Team
• Assist senior operators with terminal activities
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED needed
• 2+ years experience in railcar operations
• Certification in Railcar Safety & Securement
• Strong mechanical aptitude and computer skills
• Class 5 Driver’s License required
