Job Summary
We are a local company looking for an experienced Lowboy Driver to operate our truck tractor and lowboy trailer. You will transport heavy construction equipment (excavators, bulldozers, loaders, skid steers, etc.) safely and professionally throughout central and northern Wisconsin.
If you have solid lowboy/heavy haul experience and pride yourself on safe load securement and reliable service, we want you on our team!
Responsibilities
- Safely load, secure, and transport heavy equipment using our lowboy trailer
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the tractor and trailer
- Secure oversized loads per DOT regulations (chains, straps, binders)
- Operate heavy equipment for loading/unloading as needed
- Plan routes efficiently while managing permits, weight restrictions, and bridge laws
- Keep accurate logs, paperwork, and communicate with the team
- Represent the company professionally on job sites
Experience
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (MVR required)
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Minimum 2 years of lowboy or heavy haul experience strongly preferred
- Experience securing oversized loads
- Ability to work flexible hours (occasional early starts or overtime)
- Reliable transportation to our yard in the Eau Claire area
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Pay: $31.00 – $35.00 per hour
