Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of vehicles, including box trucks and other commercial drivers’ vehicles, for long-distance routes
- Load, unload, and secure customer belongings using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary
- Assist customers with packing, unpacking, and furniture assembly to ensure a smooth move
- Follow designated routes efficiently while maintaining compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct thorough inspections of cargo before departure and upon arrival to prevent damage or loss
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate timely pickups and deliveries across multiple locations
- Perform manual lifting of heavy items, ensuring proper techniques to prevent injury during loading and unloading processes
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license suitable for operating box trucks or commercial vehicles; CDL license preferred but not required for non-CDL roles
- Prior experience in delivery driving, moving, or warehouse operations is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Experience handling heavy lifting, manual transmission vehicles, forklifts, or pallet jacks is a plus
- Knowledge of route driving and navigation tools to optimize delivery schedules
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- A proactive attitude with a focus on safety, reliability, and excellent service delivery
