Position: Logistics / Transportation Coordinator
Location: quebec
- Analyze and recommend the most suitable modes of transportation based on customer needs and operational requirements;
- Request quotes and negotiate rates with carriers to optimize costs and delivery times;
- Prepare, review, and transmit all required documentation for the import and export of goods;
- Send delivery documents to clients, suppliers, carriers, and freight forwarders, ensuring their accuracy and compliance;
- Ensure strict adherence to all laws, regulations, and standards applicable to transportation and logistics;
- Monitor delivery deadlines and conduct necessary follow-ups with internal and external stakeholders;
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting professional relationships with clients, suppliers, and logistics partners;
- Update and maintain accurate data in the logistics management system;
- Contribute to operational efficiency by actively participating in the continuous improvement of logistics processes.
Requirements
- College diploma (DEC) completed, preferably in a field related to logistics, operations, or transportation;
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role;
- Excellent command of French and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written;
- Proficiency with computer tools, including Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management systems;
- Strong ability to manage time, priorities, and multiple files simultaneously;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;
- Rigorous, autonomous, professional, and sound judgment;
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
