The Logistics Supervisor oversees all daily logistics, shipping, receiving, warehousing, and material flow activities to support efficient production operations. This role ensures inventory accuracy, on time delivery, and compliance with safety and quality standards
Logistics & Planning
- Manage daily logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, transportation planning, and inventory flow.
- Develop and execute logistics strategies to support production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
- Coordinate inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods with carriers and suppliers.
- Optimize freight costs through vendor negotiation, load planning, and shipment consolidation.
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Oversee warehouse operations, including material handling, storage, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy.
- Maintain proper stock levels, reducing shortages and preventing overstock situations.
- Ensure warehouse layout, racking, and processes support safe and efficient operations.
- Implement and monitor KPIs (inventory accuracy, pick accuracy, on-time shipment, etc.).
Team Leadership
- Supervise, coach, and schedule warehouse/logistics staff.
- Provide training on safety, equipment operation, inventory procedures, and ERP systems.
- Conduct performance reviews and support staff development.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with OHSA, WHMIS, transportation regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain safe work practices in warehouse and shipping/receiving areas.
- Oversee proper use and maintenance of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline logistics processes and improve workflow.
- Lead initiatives in lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement.
- Support system upgrades or ERP enhancements to improve logistics visibility and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of logistics/warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience.
- Strong understanding of supply chain, inventory control, and shipping/receiving operations.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and MS Office (Excel required).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Forklift certification is an asset.

Salary – average $66K to $78K depending on experience
