Job Description
As an AZ Driver you will be responsible for short-haul, local / regional deliveries of steel to a variety of customers all over Ontario. You will be operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport rebar or structural steel to our customers.
Core Duties
- Operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Hauling steel – structural/reinforcing steel on a flat-bed trailer.
- Tarps and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
- Overseeing condition of vehicle and inspecting tires, lights and brakes.
- Monitoring vehicle performance and mechanical fitness.

Education / Experience
- Valid AZ License / Air brake (Z) endorsement.
- Flatbed experience and experience hauling steel preferred.
- Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) Certificate.
- Air Brake Adjustment Certificate.
- Criminal record check, driving record check, medical exam, drug test.
- Sound knowledge of safe driving practices.
- Previous experience working in an industrial environment is an asset.
- Previous experience in machine operation preferred.
