Local Truck Driver Class A CDL – BONUSES!!!!! Jobs in Detroit, MI at McClay’s Transportation Ltd.
Job Summary: $5O0 new hire bonus / $250 paid out after 30 days and another $250 after 60 days.
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Local Truck Driver to join our team.
- Quarterly Bonus: $650 per quarter
- $26.00 per hour (after 40 hours paid time and half)
- Medical and Dental Benefits 100% covered for Employee
- Paid time off / Holiday Pay
- Monday – Friday: 6am start time
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate 53′ Dry Van tractor trailer to transport goods between local warehouses, distribution centers, and customer sites.
- Touch Free Freight
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and other required paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers.
- Ensure timely deliveries while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Keep truck clean and in good working condition.
Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A
- Valid DOT medical card
- 2 + years proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in local or regional routes.
- Strong knowledge of local roads, routes, and traffic patterns.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
