We’re currently seeking an Experienced Local Route Driver to join our Johnstown, PA location.
Position Overview
As a CDL Route Driver, you’ll play a vital role in delivering compressed gas cylinders and industrial supplies to customers throughout Cambria County and the surrounding region. This position emphasizes safety, strong customer service, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute daily deliveries using customer orders and ERP system
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with management
- Perform DOT-compliant pre- and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment
- Understand basic properties of industrial, medical, and specialty gases to ensure safe handling and accurate deliveries.
- Operate lift gates, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and cylinder carts safely during loading and unloading.
- Customer Interaction – Provide delivery confirmations, obtain signatures, communicate product issues, and support customers with basic cylinder handling guidance.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold company standards for safety and compliance
- Lift and move 50 lbs.+ frequently
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B license (Hazmat endorsement required or obtainable within 30 days)
- Clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of driving experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to drive a manual transmission
- Familiarity with truck service requirements and preventative maintenance
- Basic computer and mobile technology proficiency
- Route driving experience preferred
