Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Local Ready-Mix Driver with a CDL Class A or B license. In this energetic role, you’ll be the vital link between the concrete production facilities and construction sites, delivering high-quality ready mix concrete efficiently and safely. Your expertise will help keep projects on schedule while ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer service. Duties
· Safely operate commercial vehicles, including concrete mixer trucks and dump trucks, to deliver ready mix concrete to various construction sites.
· Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment, including mixers, excavators, loaders, and other heavy machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance.
· Coordinate with site managers, dispatch, and plant staff to confirm delivery schedules and adapt routes as needed for timely service.
· Assist with loading and unloading materials such as rebar, rebar installation supplies, or other construction materials when required.
· Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and safety documentation throughout each shift.
· Support construction activities by operating equipment like loaders or excavators on-site when necessary.
· Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, concrete pumping, paving, and general construction site procedures.
· Wash down and clean the truck at the end of each shift and complete required paperwork.
· Help with shop maintenance, clean-up, and other assigned duties when not performing driving duties.
Qualifications
· Valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record.
· Current DOT physical required.
· Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, or concrete pumps is highly desirable.
· Knowledge of construction site operations including concrete forming, finishing, paving, and rebar installation.
· Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting vehicle and equipment issues.
· Prior experience working on construction sites with familiarity in concrete finishing techniques is preferred.
· Ability to operate commercial vehicles safely in various traffic conditions and adhere to all DOT regulations.
· Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and site personnel.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more safely.
· Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
