Roadrunner is contracting local Owner Operators in your area. Whether you’re running a day cab or a 26 foot box truck, we have pre-planned local routes with consistent pay and a Monday through Friday schedule. Own your truck, run your business, sleep in your own bed.
What You’ll Make
Earn $24 to $40 per hour plus accessorials. Paid for drive time, stops, detention, and the work you actually do.
- Day Cab O/Os: average $800 per day
- Box Truck O/Os: average $500 per day
The Schedule
- Home daily. No overnights, no sleeper, no living out of the truck.
- Monday through Friday core routes
- Start times between 7 and 10 AM
- Optional weekend work if you want more
The Work
- Local, pre-planned deliveries averaging 200 to 250 miles per day
- Hands-on routes. Driver assist required for load and unload.
- Same customers, same lanes, consistent pay week after week
Equipment Requirements
Day Cab:
- Road-ready tractor with current registration, insurance, and DOT compliance
- Clean, professional appearance
Box Truck:
- 24 to 26 foot box truck in safe, road-ready condition
- Pallet jack required
- Lift gate required
- Current registration, insurance, and DOT compliance
Driver Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (CDL required for day cab; not required for most box truck routes, confirm with recruiter)
- Clean MVR
- Ability to lift and handle freight at the dock and customer level
- Professional, customer-facing attitude. You represent Roadrunner at every stop.
