53’ Dry van freight local or long haul pickup and delivery driver
morning arrival time/shift start -usually arrive anywhere 6am-9am and clock out around 6pm-8pm (changes daily depending on the next mornings delivery appointments or pickup appointments, which your dispatcher will coordinate with you on)
Local driver job description;
You deliver loads followed by 1-3 partial load pickups which are no touch freight
then you bring the partials back to home base and park on any of the 6 docks
And repeat the next day (full local driver job)
Long haul driver job description;
The long haul driver continues where the local left off.. when the local driver left the truck on the dock it gets reloaded with the partial loads, when reloading completed a long haul driver takes that trailer to CA, NV, AZ,NM,TX,FL depending where the trailer is headed
You perform pretrip before completing your stops for the day, on sight mechanic provided
