Local Night CDL A Driver Jobs in Greensboro at Cold World Storage
Our company is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a valid commercial driver’s license, a clean driving record, and experience as either a company driver or solo driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to their destination and ensuring that all cargo is secured properly. This position offers the opportunity to be home daily and offers competitive pay and benefits.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
Drives trucks to transport and deliver products and materials to the destination.
Follow appropriate safety procedures for operating a CMV and transporting goods.
Follows traffic laws, regulations, and requirements, including FMCSA, OSHA, DOT, and any other applicable regulations.
Inspects vehicles for defects before and after trips to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment are in good working order and submits reports indicating vehicle condition.
Maintain logs in ELD according to FMCSA regulations.
Obtains receipts and signatures for delivered goods.
Ensures timely and accurate paperwork flow.
Read bills of lading, customer order, work order, shipping order, or dispatch notifications to determine assignment details.
Counts and inventories items to ensure loaded and/or unloaded are accurate according to bills of lading (when applicable and available)
Checks all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
Maintains bills of lading for DOT compliance and record retention
Operates reefer trailers in compliance with customer load temperature requirements.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Two years of verifiable CDL Class A driving experience
Maintain a valid Class A CDL
Possess or have the ability to obtain a DOT Medical certification
Communication Skills:
Ability to maintain effective communication verbally and through company telematics systems
Driving Skills:
Driving experience should include various terrain types, large metropolitan areas, and winter driving in inclement weather conditions
Thorough understanding of FMCSA pre and post trip inspection requirements
Refrigerated trailer experience preferred
MVR History
No more than 2 Moving Violations (no more than 1 in the previous 12 months)
No preventable Accident in 3 Years
Employment History
No more than 3 jobs in the last 3 years
