Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Local Ready Mix Driver with a CDL Class A or B license to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will operate commercial vehicles to deliver ready mix concrete to construction sites, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries that keep projects moving forward. Your expertise will help maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer service on every job site. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an essential part of the building process, delivering quality materials directly where they are needed most. we are also seeking a sand truck driver for mt airy also!
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including dump trucks and concrete mixers, to transport ready mix concrete to various construction sites.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle and equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload concrete and related materials using mechanical equipment such as loaders or excavators, adhering to proper procedures.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery tickets, and documentation for each load transported.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
- Assist with on-site tasks such as concrete pumping, finishing, or rebar installation when required, demonstrating versatility in construction site activities.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to promote a safe working environment for yourself and others on the job site.
Skills A PLUS
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as or concrete pumps on construction sites.
- Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle operation, including CDL Class A or B licensing requirements.
- Familiarity with concrete mixer operation, paving techniques, and concrete finishing processes.
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting vehicle or equipment issues quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to work safely around construction sites, including rebar installation and other structural activities.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and site personnel.
- Construction site experience with a focus on delivering materials accurately and efficiently.
