Job Overview:
We are the #1 rated moving company in Seattle and have been in business for over 15 years. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Lead Driver to join our team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and furniture to various locations. This position requires heavy lifting and excellent driving skills.
Hybrid Rate: $24/hr-$25/hr when driving and $21.30/hr when helping. Tips are additional (approximately $50-$100 daily on average). We offer a $1k annual bonus (with a safe driving record), $200 monthly health insurance reimbursement, and a dollar-for-dollar 401k match. Responsibilities:
– Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods and furniture
– Load and unload items onto the truck
– Secure items properly to prevent damage during transportation
– Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher
– Communicate effectively with customers and address any concerns or questions
– Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
– Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
– Assist with moving furniture and other items as needed
– Maintain cleanliness and organization
Requirements:
– Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
– Previous experience operating a box truck and moving household furniture
– Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) repeatedly throughout the day
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
