Maritime Delivery Services, Inc. is looking for CDL-A Owner Operators to haul intermodal containers out of the Port of Charleston. You’ll run under MDS authority, work consistent freight year-round, and be home every night.
MDS is owned by OOCL — one of the largest global shipping lines in the world. That means the freight you haul comes directly from the parent company. Not a broker. Not a load board. The rail yards don’t stop, and neither does your work.
Compensation
- 73% of load pay on regional runs
- 100% of the fuel surcharge passed through to you
- Additional pay for detention (after just 1 hour — most companies make you wait 2), hazmat, and overweight loads

Route & Schedule
- Home Time: Daily
- Route: Up to 250 miles around Joliet, IL
- Freight Type: Rail yard containers — dry, reefer, hazmat (classes 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9), overweight
- No-touch freight
Equipment Requirements
- Must own your tractor — no truck year requirement
- Must be Samsara ELD compatible
- Must have apportioned plates
Qualifications
- CDL-A required
- Minimum 23 years of age
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- 1 year intermodal, port, or rail yard experience required
- Hazmat endorsement preferred (additional pay if you have it)
- Clean MVR — zero tolerance for substance abuse
Pay: $4,000.00 – $5,000.00 per week
