Join our dynamic team as an Intermodal Driver/Owner Operator and take charge of transporting freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! We welcome any fleet owner that would like to sign his trucks and drivers on as well. In this role, you’ll handle intermodal containers coming in and out of one of the Houston ports . Your expertise in driving and load handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining safety and compliance standards. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced drivers who thrive on independence, efficiency, and delivering excellence every mile.
Responsibilities
- Manage route driving with a focus on timely deliveries across intermodal hubs and customer sites
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, load details, and vehicle logs in accordance with company policies
- Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delays, or issues encountered during transit
Qualifications
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight handling and route management
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the equipment operated
- Experience with container chassis, inspecting chassis to make sure all equipment is road ready.
- Knowledge of transportation safety regulations and compliance standards for intermodal operations
