Role Overview
Our client is seeking experienced and safety-focused Hydrovac Operators and Hydrovac Drivers for direct hire positions in East Texas. In these roles, you will operate and maintain hydrovac trucks to perform safe, efficient, and precise excavation services. This is a hands-on position involving both equipment operation and safe driving to and from job sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate hydrovac trucks and equipment to perform hydrovac excavation
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment
- Drive to and from job sites while maintaining a professional and safety-first attitude
- Excavate around underground utilities with precision and care
- Perform daily equipment maintenance and minor repairs as needed
- Adhere to all company, OSHA, and industry safety protocols
- Work collaboratively with crew members to complete projects efficiently
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong communication with clients and site personnel
- Complete required job documentation accurately and timely
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A or B required
- Tanker and Air Brake endorsements preferred
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment and/or hydrovac trucks
- Strong understanding of excavation techniques, safety regulations, and utility locating
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic equipment maintenance
- Experience with Fall Protection and commercial construction practices is a plus
- Excellent safety awareness, teamwork, and communication skills
- Physical ability to perform strenuous duties in all weather conditions
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime
- Previous experience in oil & gas or construction industries is highly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
