NOW HIRING: Operations Manager, Hydrovac Operators & General Laborer
Hydrotex Excavation is a growing hydro excavation company dedicated to safety, professionalism, quality workmanship, and exceptional customer service. We are currently seeking motivated and qualified individuals to join our team in the following positions:
Operations Manager
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily hydrovac operations, including scheduling, personnel management, equipment utilization, safety compliance, project coordination, customer relations, and operational efficiency. This leadership role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, DOT requirements, and client expectations. Competitive compensation based upon experience.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of hydrovac excavation experience
- Previous supervisory or management experience
- Strong knowledge of hydro excavation practices and underground utility safety
- Valid Texas driver’s license and current Medical Card
- CDL Class A or B with Tank Endorsement required
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software
Hydrovac Operator (Experienced)
The Hydrovac Operator safely operates hydrovac equipment to provide trenching, daylighting, and pot holing services. Operators are responsible for job site safety, equipment operation, inspections, maintenance, documentation, and ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently. Competitive compensation based upon experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous hydrovac operating experience required
- Valid CDL Class A or B with Tank Endorsement
- Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT drug screening
- Ability to read maps, utility locates, and project plans
- Mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance knowledge
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed
- Experience operating heavy equipment preferred
General Laborer
The General Laborer performs a variety of manual labor tasks supporting hydrovac operations and field services. This entry-level position offers opportunities for advancement and is ideal for individuals with a strong work ethic who are eager to learn and grow within the company. Guaranteed 40 hours per week; $15/hour.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and appropriate insurance
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Field services or construction experience preferred

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Successful candidates must be able to:
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Lift up to 50 pounds or more
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and perform physically demanding work
- Work around heavy equipment, construction sites, and industrial environments
- Travel and work overtime, nights, weekends, or on-call assignments as required by project needs
