Overview:
We are seeking a reliable hybrid Warehouse / Non-CDL Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in general warehouse and driving various vehicles and handling deliveries. If you are a skilled communicator with a customer service-oriented approach, we want to hear from you.
Hybrid Role:
– Monday through Thursday: Work in the warehouse from 7:30am-5:30pm
– Play backup: Be available on short notice to cover our full-time drivers
DRIVER:
Delivery Area:
– Overnight routes to Michigan and Ohio
– Daily routes to Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin
Responsibilities:
– Safely operate company vehicles
– Transport goods and materials to designated locations in a timely manner
– Follow delivery schedules and routes efficiently
– Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
Requirements:
– Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
– Previous experience in commercial driving and manual transmission vehicles
– Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
– Able to start early mornings (Between 3am – 5am)
– Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate deliveries
Nice-to-Have Skills:
– Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed
Other:
– Food and hotel allowances will be paid on overnight routes
WAREHOUSE:
Duties and responsibilities
-Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
-Prepares orders by: Pulling materials, packing boxes, and placing orders in delivery area.
-Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.
-Prepare orders for shipment.
-Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat. Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all time.
-Ability to accurately check orders in and orders shipping out.
-Called upon to deliver orders occasionally via one of our company vehicles.
Qualification requirements
-High School diploma or equivalent preferred
-Previous warehouse experience preferred
-Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills
-Dependability
-Must have a reliable form of transportation to and from work
-Good driving record
Physical demands and abilities
-Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
-Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
