Hotshot Driver Jobs in Antioch at Route and Rack Freight
Route and Rack Freight LLC is a growing hot shot transportation company specializing in time-sensitive freight, construction materials, equipment, and LTL shipments throughout the Midwest. We operate a GMC Sierra 2500HD diesel with a 36-foot gooseneck trailer and are looking for a dependable, safety-focused driver to help grow the business.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate truck and 36-foot gooseneck trailer
- Transport freight throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa, and surrounding states
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Properly secure loads using straps, chains, binders, and tarps
- Maintain accurate ELD logs and Hours of Service compliance
- Communicate professionally with customers, brokers, and dispatch
- Report maintenance issues immediately
- Keep equipment clean and presentable
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- DOT MED card
- Ability to legally operate a non-CDL hot shot combination
- Experience towing trailers preferred
- Experience with flatbed, construction materials, equipment, or freight transportation preferred
- Ability to pass insurance approval requirements
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to lift and secure freight as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Hot shot or towing experience
- Construction or equipment hauling experience
- Knowledge of load securement regulations
- Basic mechanical knowledge
