Job Description
Hostlers are critical to our success at FritoLay! Our Hostlers are responsible for working closely with warehouse operations to move and load route trucks from the docks to the assigned parking spots. Although you will start out as a Hostler for FritoLay, we are investing in helping you grow with us. This job can open the door to career opportunities with us or our parent company, PepsiCo. In this role, here are some of the frequent tasks you will be doing:
- Moving route trucks from assigned parking spots to the loading dock
- Unloading dead stacked trailers onto carts and pallets
- Loading product from carts onto the appropriate route trucks
- Prepping route trucks, sorting KDs, loading KDs onto a trailer
- Maintain proper housekeeping and sanitation as needed
We operate 24 hours a day, which means you may not have a typical schedule, and our jobs are physical! If you have never worked in this kind of role before, you should understand that you will be on your feet for the entirety of your shift moving product around. Here are the minimum qualifications of this job:
- You are at least 18 years of age or older
- You must have a driver’s license
- You will be required to work on weekends, holidays as well as off shift
- You can lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
- You are able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation
- You have the ability to sit for extended periods of time, up to five hours daily, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- You are willing and able to work in an environment that has extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces
