We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Hook, Truck Driver to join our transportation team. Duties
- Operate a variety of trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to transport materials across designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo using manual techniques or mechanical aids like forklifts or cranes, ensuring secure placement for transit.
- Perform routine inspections of vehicles to verify mechanical condition and safety compliance before and after trips.
- Use manual transmission controls skillfully to navigate diverse terrains and road conditions.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks during loading and unloading processes to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle maintenance records, and load documentation for accountability.
- Collaborate with dispatchers to plan optimal routes and adapt to changing schedules or road conditions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a focus on heavy-duty trucks such as dump trucks, flatbeds, or tractor-trailers.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of truck systems and troubleshooting procedures.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for the truck type operated.
- Experience operating manual transmission vehicles safely and confidently.
- Skilled in load & unload operations with knowledge of different truck types including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, and flatbeds.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during cargo handling activities.
